It's Been Awhile...

My weekend with my college girlfriends was amazing. You can read about it here.

It was a wonderful 48 hours filled with laughter, tears, necklaces, karaoke (yes, it's true), walks on the beach, and eating delicious food. Perfect.

Me, Christina (from CO), Janna (from CO), Marlene (from No Cal), Cari, Shannon (from So Cal), and Anner

Beach walk - Cari LOVED the park

Karaoke with Cari. Karaoke = Marlene's love language (seriously)

Marlene, Anner & I used to lead a small group of girls together. We hope to celebrate their recent college graduations in July.

Lots more of life to follow in a few days.

Have a great weekend!

Fun Friday

Today is the last Friday at Peabody Charter School. Forever, for Andrew and David. Weird.
~
After eating the famous handmade cinnamon rolls in the cafeteria (Peabody has the best food... visiting gourmet chefs, organic produce grown by the 6th graders, and a great staff), we went to Andrew's class to hear him read his Fairy Tale. It was about good wizards and bad wizards. The bad wizards eventually see the error in their ways, say sorry and ask if they can be friends. My favorite part was when the good wizard answers with an emphatic, "Yes! Of course we can be friends!" And, they lived happily ever after. Prince Andrew above.
~
Johnny and I then headed to the bank to open a few accounts that we'll be able to access in Argentina (so sad to leave Santa Barbara Bank & Trust). We also picked up Chris's contact lenses and made eye appointments for the boys.
~
And then we were on our way to David's first (and last) Peabody Track Meet!

We got to watch him run the 50 yard dash!
He's having fun with his buddies and his littlest brother below.

What a trooper Johnny is.
Usually smiling and rarely complaining about getting in the car, running errands, or watching brothers. Nice work, Johnny boy. His shirt says, "I'm pretty much one of the best people I know." Can't you just hear him saying that?
~
I'm off for the weekend with 6 of my favorite women. 2 flew out from Colorado, 1 from San Fran, 1 from San Diego, and the remaining 2 are locals. I'm looking forward to having 48 hours of girl-time with nothing to do but talk and do whatever we want. I'm not looking forward to saying good-bye. Too much of that these days.
~
Have a great weekend!
